Terms of Service
Effective 2 September 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and onstaff (“onstaff”, “we”), operated from Melbourne, Australia, and govern your use of the onstaff service at app.onstaff.app. By creating an account or accepting an invitation you agree to them. If you use onstaff on behalf of a company, you confirm you can bind that company, and “you” includes it.
1. The service
onstaff provides a workspace in which AI agents perform work you direct: research, drafting, analysis, scheduled reports, and — only after approval by a person in your workspace — actions on connected services such as sending email or opening pull requests. onstaff is in early access; features may change, and we may add, alter or remove functionality as the product develops.
2. Accounts and workspaces
You must provide accurate account details and keep your password confidential. Workspace owners and admins control who joins a workspace and what they can see; members see the workspace's shared content, including conversations with agents. You are responsible for activity under your account and for the people you invite.
3. AI outputs and your responsibility
Agents generate content and recommendations automatically. They can be wrong, incomplete, or out of date, and they may misread source material. You are responsible for reviewing outputs before relying on them, and for every external action you approve. onstaff does not provide legal, financial, medical or other professional advice.
4. Connected services and credentials
When you connect third-party services (Google, GitHub and others) you authorise onstaff to access them within the permissions you grant, subject to those services' own terms. If you supply your own AI provider credentials (an API key or a subscription token), you are responsible for complying with that provider's terms — including any restriction that a personal subscription be used only by its account holder — and for any charges or limits it imposes.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to use onstaff to: break the law or others' rights; send spam or unsolicited bulk messages; harvest data you are not entitled to; attempt to access other workspaces or our systems without authorisation; or circumvent usage limits, approvals, or safety controls. We may suspend accounts that do.
6. Your content
You own the content you and your agents create in your workspace. You grant us the rights needed to store, process and display it to provide the service, including sending it to AI providers to generate responses. We do not use your content to train models. Deleting a workspace permanently deletes its content.
7. Fees
Early access is currently offered without charge. If we introduce fees we will tell you in advance, and continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance. Costs incurred with providers whose credentials you supply are yours.
8. Availability and changes
We aim for the service to be available but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. We may modify or discontinue the service, or any part of it, with reasonable notice where practicable.
9. Termination
You may stop using onstaff and delete your workspace at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these terms, or where required to protect the service or others. On termination we may delete your workspace content after a reasonable period.
10. Disclaimers and liability
The service is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, we exclude all warranties not expressly stated here, and our total liability for any claim arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim (or AUD 100 if you paid nothing). Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded; where such rights apply, our liability is limited, where permitted, to re-supplying the service.
11. General
These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, and disputes are subject to the courts of Victoria. If any part of these terms is unenforceable the rest continues to apply. We may update these terms; we will post changes here and, for material changes, notify you in the app.
